PARDEEP BAINS

COACH PB

Having been in the fitness industry for approximately seven years as a personal trainer/coach, I realize there are a lot of myths out there in the fitness world that can confuse you. It definitely confused me at first. These myths tells you that in order to lose weight you must eat a certain amount of meals, don’t eat at night, cut out all carbs, only eat clean, take this fat burning pill, put on this waist trainer etc.

It Really Leaves You Wondering, what is ACTUALLY the right approach?

My goal with this website is to show you proven fat loss methods that have helped people that I’ve worked with blast away body fat/weight instantly AND Keep it off FOREVER! Now, you don’t have to worry about giving up your social life or taking packed meals to restaurants to achieve your body goals. I want to show you how to #FindYourBalance and be able to still enjoy your life while burning away the unwanted body fat because life is just about that, enjoying it! Furthermore on this website you’ll be shown through blog posts how to create a calorie deficit, what low calorie foods you could add to your diet, the best protein foods to help you see results faster, how to improve your relationship with food, what proven results based exercises you should be doing and much much more!

Science Backed Nutrition

On the internet and social media there are a lot of methods that have no scientific proof of working, or the the data has been manipulated to tell a biased story. These fitness influencers are so convincing that they have people believing that this skinny tea, or waist trainer is the key to getting a lean body. However, having trained close to a 1000 people, the truth is… you can see results quickly with proper nutrition methods and furthermore these same tools/principles can be used to keep the weight off FOREVER.

All the studies that I have looked at and heard other nutrition experts talk about is that you have to find a diet that is balanced because if you don’t, you will rebound from being on a extremely restrictive diet and fall off the wagon like bandwagon sports fan after “their” team loses.

That is why I am an advocate of flexible dieting. Flexible Dieting is a method of tracking your calories and macronutrient intake. This way you don’t over eat and If you feel like having something you enjoy, you can have it as long as it “fits your macros.” Studies have shown people who use this method of dieting (if you want to even call it that) have been able to maintain their eating habits, lose weight/body fat and keep the weight off!

Achieve Your Fat Loss Goals Today
With Proven Training Methods

When it comes to training, what exercises should you do to achieve remarkable results? While there are a lot of great exercises out there, what matters most is doing them properly with great form. Doing exercises incorrectly can lead to a whole array of issues like injury, muscle imbalances, joint pain and much much more.

As a Coach I like to say that if you can do the exercises correctly, while doing the right ones, you’re pretty much guaranteeing yourself the results you want.  So what movements should you be doing? Performing functional movements such as Squats, RDL, Press, lunges, rows, etc. are the best to do because these compound multi join exercises and these movements require you to use you body as a unit, rather then isolating each muscle (nothing wrong with isolating as an accessory) which ultimately leads you to recruit more muscle fiber. Simply, the more muscle fiber you recruit, the better it is for you to get a lean body.

Majority of your program should have compound multi-joint movements in them with a mix of isolation exercises. On this website I will be showcasing to you various exercises, how to do them, how to program them and so on.

How I Got Into Coaching & Training Clients

I believe it was deep rooted from having struggled personally in my life with deep emotional pain, and due to that, I wanted others to feel great about themselves. I first learned how powerful a coach can be when I played soccer for the British Columbia Provincial team at 15 years old. My coach at the time, Rob Csabai, changed my whole life to say the least. Growing up and playing soccer for club teams, we were under the tutelage of a lot of volunteer coaches. The sad reality is that these volunteer coaches were not qualified to understand the psychology of young kids. For this reason, their ability to communicate at a high level was limited. However, with the way Rob coached, I was able to see a totally different approach to coaching. The way he communicated, I had never come across anything like it in my life. The way he empowered his players by using positive feedback was real refreshing because he really made you believe that you could reach your potential as a player and that limits are mind made. I remember him taking
me aside after so many games and just telling me how well I played and really instilled confidence in a young guy. He really made it a point to let
you know that you are important.

At that time, I had no idea where my life would go, but his fun unique coaching style left a permanent mark on me.

Fast forward 3 years and I’m embarking on my post secondary career. The program that I’m in at this juncture of my life is the sports science program at Douglas College, which is based in New West Minister, British Columbia, Canada. The program was amazing because I was learning how the human body works, sports psychology, how to properly perform exercises and much much more. However, as I continued along the program that I was in, the itch to apply the information that I was learning was powerful then actually wanting to finish the diploma or degree.

Therefore, two years into my program, I was at a crossroads. Do I finish my diploma or go into the personal training program and begin on the journey of coaching/training people. At that point in my life, I needed reassurance that I was making the right choice. That lead me to asking my close friend Ben at that time, should I do the personal training program or continue on with my diploma? What he told was go towards the personal training program IF
that is the direction you are leaning. After deciding to go ahead and do the program, I successfully completed it and I had officially become a certified personal trainer!

As I started training clients as a mobile personal trainer, I started to learn so much about how people work. Experience really is the best teacher in life. What I realized as I trained more and more people is that there is so much more to being a coach then helping people lose weight and getting stronger. It’s the bond and relationship that you build with your clients that is one of the most gratifying things in the world because of the positive impact you have on each others lives. That made me really enjoy the whole experience of being a trainer/coach so much more because of how human it was.

My two friends at that time, Jas and Ben, were also in the fitness industry and were training clients. In 2014, we decided to merge our clients together and create a personal training studio/injury rehab centre called “FIT Nation StrongHouse.” Owning a business where your sole focus was on improving the lives of your clients was a surreal experience and doing it with your best friends at that time was the cherry on top.

What I learned in the 4 years of owning FIT Nation StrongHouse I could not have learned anywhere else, or through any degree. What I learned was that you have to be constantly learning and evolving or you would be doing yourself an injustice. Furthermore, I realized that you cannot compromise form/technique no matter what because you can be harming your clients if you’re not paying attention to detail. Also, I learned that nutrition has been made complicated by the diet industry to sell diet programs that are not sustainable long term, so they can make a quick buck and sell you false instant gratification diet plans. Lastly, what I learned and to me the most important thing, it was that whatever you are going through mentally and emotionally, you cannot run away from it. All negativity can be healed through the present moment and by accepting what is. By watching your thoughts and emotions you can truly transcend them. With that knowing, I was able to help clients in various ways.

In other words, I realized that what I was doing for people now, is what Rob was doing for me when I was a young teenager! Amazing how things can come full circle isn’t it.

After 4 years of being a  co-owner of FIT Nation StrongHouse, I decided to make a difficult decision and that was to move on and sell my shares. If you are wondering, I made the decision without having a clue what I was going to be doing next. For a lot of people just moving on from something that was doing so well is….risky to say the least! For me though, my gut was telling me to move on into the unknowing regardless of what happened. To say that
it was the best decision of my life would be an understatement! The amount of inner peace I feel on a daily basis since moving on cannot be quantified through numbers. Also, if I had never left, you would not be here reading this right now 😉

In January 2019, out of no where, an idea came to me. Why not create a content based Instagram page where you can share all the knowledge you have gained regarding fat loss and the mindset needed to achieve your weight loss goals. When that idea came, another one arose within my mind…create a content based website where you can publish articles regarding everything you’ve learned and provide value to peoples lives with evidence based, result driven exercise and nutrition tips.

The whole idea of creating this website is to show you that the fitness journey can be used to really empower yourself as an individual because the reason you start exercising and eating better is to ultimately feel your absolute best. This is why, using the fitness journey to become more aware of what is going on inside you makes you that much more powerful because with that awareness, you really do become the best version of yourself!
