Are you eating these high-calorie cactus club meals?

Well, if your goal is to lose body fat and weight than limiting the foods listed below may be a good idea.

I did write about some of the best low-calorie cactus club meals that you can read about by clicking here.

However, in the meantime, let’s take a look at these high-calorie cactus club meals that may seem innocent, but rack up in calories fairly quickly.

Check it out below.

1) Blackened Creole Chicken

The blackened creole chicken undoubtedly is one of the most famous dishes on the menu that people love to consume. With creole butter slathered on top, your mouth can’t help but be watery.

However, when it comes to it being a great meal for your fat loss goals, it is not ideal.

Why is it not ideal?

Due to the creole chicken by itself being 950 calories!!

That does not include the mashed potatoes or yam fries that you have with it (which would add 300-500 calories on top of the 950 calories)

For most people looking to lose weight, this meal is not optimal.

Unless you have planned accordingly, eating this on top of everything else you ate or eat throughout your day would put you most likely in a huge caloric surplus!

Calories & Macronutrients Summary:

  • Calories 950
  • Fat: 59 grams
  • Carbs: 37 grams
  • Protein: 65 grams

2) Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps

The general alternative to reducing calories is to replace your burger bun or bread to make it a lettuce wrap.

However, does it really matter?

Well, for the lettuce wraps at Cactus club you’ll be surprised how high in calories this meal is.

How high is it?

990 calories high!

That is an absurd amount of calories for one who is looking to blast away body fat.

Having said that, you can still eat this if you half the amount. By only having half you’d reduce the calories down to 445 calories. Which is great.

Therefore, if you still want to have the chicken lettuce wraps from Cactus Club, then just have half and take the other half home if you are not already sharing with someone.

Calories & Macronutrients Summary:

  • Calories 990
  • Fat: 59 grams
  • Carbs: 69 grams
  • Protein: 65 grams

3) Mini Burgers

The great thing about mini burgers is that there typically shared amongst your group of friends or family.

But, there are some people who like to order them for their own meal.

Calorie wise and fat loss wise is that a good idea?

Well, to the surprise of many, including myself when I first saw this, mini burgers contain 980 calories! One would never think that be the case, but it is.

For this reason, if you indeed are looking to lose weight, avoiding mini burgers would be optimal because you typically would have it with another menu item.

You may know someone whose favorite food item at Cactus is the Cajun chicken sandwich. It might even be yours.

But, is it a good item to have when you are looking to lose weight?

I mean if you compare it to the feenie burger above it looks great at 790 calories.

However, in terms of an overall view, it’s probably not the best choice, especially when you have it with sides.

You may ask “Is there a way I can eat this still even if I am trying to lose body fat?’

Yes, there is.

How is that?

Planning your day accordingly so you don’t go into a caloric surplus by having this food item would be your best bet.
